Aegis is a code obfuscation platform for the Lua and Luau programming languages, intended for use with Roblox (Luau) and FiveM (Lua 5.4). The Service transforms readable source code into a less readable, protected form using techniques such as a custom bytecode virtual machine, string encryption, number obfuscation, control-flow flattening and identifier renaming.

Access to encryption is metered through a token system. One encryption consumes a defined number of tokens (normally one token per file, subject to the configuration shown in your dashboard). Tokens are obtained by purchasing a plan or redeeming a license key.

Obfuscation is not cryptography and does not provide a guarantee of absolute security. No obfuscator is unbreakable. Aegis raises the difficulty and cost of analysing or reverse-engineering your code, but it cannot and does not promise that your code becomes impossible to read, decompile or reverse-engineer.

The Service is provided as a deterrent and a protective measure, not as an unbreakable safeguard. You accept this limitation and use the Service at your own risk.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, that misuse the Service, or that attempt to circumvent our systems.

You agree not to:

• use the Service to protect code that is unlawful, malicious, or that you do not have the right to use;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or attack the Aegis platform itself;
• attempt to bypass the token system, payments or account controls;
• resell or redistribute access to the Service or your account;
• use automated means to abuse, overload or scrape the Service.

Plans and one-time token packs are offered at the prices and token amounts displayed on the pricing page. All prices are inclusive of applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. Tokens are credited to your account after a successful payment or the redemption of a valid key.

Tokens are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may not be exchanged for money. Tokens do not expire unless a plan or promotion expressly states otherwise. We reserve the right to adjust pricing and token amounts for future purchases; changes do not apply retroactively.

If you are a consumer located in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you generally have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU.

However, because the Service supplies digital content (tokens and encryption services) that is made available immediately after purchase, you expressly request that the digital content be supplied to you immediately and acknowledge that, once supply has begun, you lose your right of withdrawal. By completing a purchase you consent to immediate performance and accept that no statutory 14-day withdrawal period remains once tokens have been delivered or the service has been performed.

Except where required by mandatory law, purchases of tokens and subscriptions are final and non-refundable once tokens have been delivered or the service performed. If you believe a purchase was made in error or a technical fault occurred, contact us at info@aegisob.com within 14 days of the transaction and we will review your request in good faith.

The Aegis platform, website, branding, documentation and obfuscation engine are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service.

You retain all rights in the source code you submit. You grant us the limited right to process your code solely for the purpose of performing the Service. We do not claim ownership of, and do not store or share, the content of the files you encrypt.

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, and may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you in advance where reasonably possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or mandatory consumer-protection rights.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Unused tokens are not refundable except as required by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. For disputes in the EU, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
